Can't Beat Nature

You can't beat nature.
I should know.
I have raked it,
Worked it with a hoe,
It keeps coming back for more.
You can't beat nature.
Broke it with a shovel
It still feeds me.
Most harm is novel,
Some wounds never heal
But it compensates so well.
You can't beat nature.
Climate change is it saying,
"I'm tired of you
And I aint playing!"
You can't beat nature.
Here's your bags; start packing.

I Feel You

Laying here next to you
Is like hot honey dew.
It trickles so sweet.
It prickles from my head to my feet.

Oh God, I feel you.
Burning in my soul
My body pays the toll.
Oh God, I feel you.

The excitement is so deep
It won't let me sleep.
I think you own me.
I will never be free.

Oh God, I feel you.
I feel my body quake.
It's more than I can take
Oh God, I feel you.

I'm burning up inside
I can't run, I can't hide.
Think I'm about to die.
Feel my soul soaring high.

Oh God, I feel you.
Laying here next to you
Hope I make it through.
Oh God, I feel you

ELYSIUM

Elysium; I never thought I could be so alone.
Here I am with a heart of stone.
Petrified that my eyes will be bereft of your beauty.
Damned to mourn throughout eternity.
I stood at the grave, weeping my good-byes
But in that moment, it was me that died.
Elysium; I never thought I could be so alone.
Here I am with a heart of stone.
Sinking into the depth of dark sorrow.
Pity has replaced my bone marrow.
I feel everything but my mourn depleting.
Everyday is just yesterday repeating.
Elysium; I never thought I could be so alone.
Here I am with a heart of stone.
Shattering the windows to my dreams
While my life frays at the seams.
Heaven won't save me and Hell just don't care.
So I breathe pain like it is air.
Elysium; I never thought I could be so alone.
Here I am with a heart of stone.

Binary Sanity

Madness is being sane;

knowing there is no cure for sanity.

Sanity is nothing more than a common lie

forming this preconceived reality.

Reality is but a mass delusion;

a lucid dream that doesn’t exist.

Naught as a grand illusion

that we can’t truly resist.

A programmed chaotic algorithm

where ones and zeros collide.

We are a binary schism

all sanity put aside.
